You can source the Taxonomy App directly from the SharePoint Store.

Note:  A SharePoint Administrator account is required to be able to add Taxonomy App to the tenant.

1.  Navigate to SharePoint admin Center > More Features.

The More Features page is displayed.

2.  Click Open under Apps section.

The Manage Apps page is displayed.

3.  Click SharePoint Store in the left navigation.

The SharePoint Store page is displayed.

4.  Enter Taxonomy in the search bar to display all the related apps.

5.  Select the Taxonomy app.

The AppSource page to add Taxonomy to the catalog is displayed.

6.  Click Add to Apps site.

A popup confirmation window is displayed to enable the App where you:

  • Approve the App accessing the data on behalf of the user using it
  • Get information on from where the App is getting data
  • Get information on additional API Access that must be approved after enabling the App
  • Specify the availability of the App, either to just enable the App or to enable the App and automatically add it to the SharePoint sites.

After the App has been enabled, a popup window is displayed to inform about additional API access that is requested by the App. Please refer to this article to learn more about Approving API access.

The Taxonomy app is added to your SharePoint catalog.

Note:

  • If you are not a SharePoint Admin, you can click Request to get the access approved by your SharePoint Administrator so that you can use it on your sites. Learn more about Approving Request to Add Taxonomy App.

  • In the above example, we have selected the option Enable this app and add it to all sites.  This option will automatically add Taxonomy app to all your SharePoint sites.  You can similarly select the option Only enable this app.  This option will allow you to add the app to only the required SharePoint sites.
